The Scape of the Moon

Beautiful sight of our satellite

According to recent studies, over time moon has moved from earth gradually at a rate of about 3.8 cm per year. We know this because the astronauts left five reflectors on the lunar surface.
The Moon moves because it accelerates in its orbit, due to the effect that Earth’s oceans are causing. The fact that the Moon moves away will bring consequences to Earth:
One of them is the length of the days. All this matter is related to the tides, which serve as a brake to the rotation of the Earth. We know that the tides were more numerous, and the days were shorter many years ago, by the records found in the rocks called tidal rhythmites.

When the Moon was very close to the Earth, the days lasted just 5 hours, but as it walked away, the days are elongated up to 24 hours today. But they will continue expanding until they last month and more, and then until they are eternal and one side of the Earth will always look at the Sun and the other will always be in darkness
